About Align
Align is a training institute and a practice in one house: the home of IFS-Informed EMDR, and a credentialed team of clinicians who see therapists across eight states.
The founder
Crystal developed her framework in the places clinicians feel its need most: complex‑trauma sessions, consultation rooms, and conversations with therapists whose EMDR work had stalled. In 2025 she presented the framework at the EMDRIA Conference. Today she trains clinicians to use it, consultants to teach it, and future trainers to carry it farther than one practice ever could.

How Align came to exist
Crystal began with the limits clinicians meet in real systems, then built the support and training she wished had been easier to find.
Six years of high caseloads, low autonomy, and complex clinical work showed her what unsustainable practice costs therapists and clients.
She opened a side practice in 2014 and a group practice in 2017, building toward deeper work, clearer boundaries, and a sustainable livelihood.
Years of IFS study, EMDR practice, parenting, and direct‑care burnout sharpened the question behind the framework: how can clinicians honor protection without abandoning reprocessing?
Align now supports the whole line of influence: client, trained therapist, consultant, and future trainer.
Beyond the credentials
She is a mother of three, an entrepreneur, a complex‑trauma survivor, and someone who believes rigor and intuition belong in the same room. Her own experience with burnout, healing, parenting, and building a practice shaped Align as much as any formal training did.
That relationship with intuition also lives outside her clinical work. Crystal still offers one‑hour tarot readings for therapists who want to explore a question, decision, or curiosity through the cards.
