Hester Campbell, LPC, EMDR Trained, ACS
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides trauma-informed and client-centered psychotherapy services. I obtained my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington.
I am EMDR trained and utilize this modality in my clinical practice to treat varieties of presenting concerns. This includes complex PTSD, attachment trauma or to facilitate healing from raw emotional pain, recognize inner strengths, and build resiliency. I am also trained to treat OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention.
Throughout the last few years of my work experience I have come to learn that I enjoy supervising other clinicians, as well as working with clients who are also therapists. This work is beautiful and hard, and therapists need space to identify their own emotional needs and get support. My main goal in supervision is to help clinicians identify their strengths and grow their own counselor identity, while also providing a space to process the sometimes challenging or painful parts of being a therapist.
During our meetings we would review any clinical issues that you need extra support with, discuss cases in depth, and address counter transference that may be arising in the therapeutic relationship.
I currently work in a group practice providing therapy to those struggling with trauma, OCD, and substance use disorders. I also developed and implemented the internship program and supervise students in their clinical portion of their masters program.
Prior to this practice, I worked in different treatment centers providing group and individual therapy for those struggling with substance abuse and mental health concerns.
When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying time with my family, walking the dogs, or exploring Colorado.
